Vicodin, Soma and Meloxicam....

So...I have had pain in my shoulder and neck for over a year now. I have tedonitis and impingement syndrome. Which basically means that the tendons in my shoulder are swollen and inflamed. They are very mad at me for overusing them. Because of this inflammation, my tendons are being pinched between my shoulder bone and my arm bone. It is incredibly painful. I spent 3 months in 2006 in physical therapy for this problem. I had hoped that this would "fix" this problem. Apparently I was wrong. The pain improved but never really went away, then a few months ago it came back with a vengeance. I tried to work through the pain because I'm incredibly stubborn...and oh yeah...we were short staffed at work. I waited until it became intolerable, and then I went to the doctor who told me I had to immobolize my shoulder for 5 days. No work, no play, nothing. Just me, my bed, a stack of movies and a stack of books.
I thought I was going to go stir crazy, but, I have to admit it's been a nice break. But I still don't think that it "fixed" anything, not permanently anyway. We'll see.
